What you will do

As a Grid Studies Senior Expert at CESI S.p.A., your main responsibilities will include:

· Advanced and proven knowledge of electrical power system modeling and static/dynamic behavior

· Know about the application of the most common software tools for network modeling (e.g. PSSE and DigSilent and their libraries/modules, but also Neplan, Etap or equivalent)

· Simulations and analysis of the steady state and dynamic behaviour of complex energy systems

· Development of mathematical models for assessing the reliability of electricity networks - Execution and support of consultancy projects (creating technical reports documenting the process and results of the study)

· Direct customer interaction

· Coordination of junior engineers' activities

As a Grid Studies Senior Expert, you will be part of the team working on planning and operational network studies.

After an initial period of integration and familiarization with the methodology and approach at the Milan headquarters, entrepreneurial activity will also require the availability of periods abroad whose duration may vary from a few days to a few weeks.

What you bring
Among all your other talents, your key knowledge and experience is:

Knowledge & Experience

· Master of Electrical Engineering degree

· Demonstrated expertise in the development of dynamic simulation models, including models for advanced energy system technologies, such as renewable energy, FACTS and energy storage systems

· Expertise in transient and voltage stability analysis, including reactive power planning

· Expertise in using PSSE, DigSilent and other products in their libraries/modules, as well as Neplan and Etap tools

· Main planning methodologies and operational studies (static – e.g. load-flow, reliability, short circuit, ...; dynamic – e.g. VSA, TSA, DSA, SSSA, ...)

· Network modeling software tools (e.g. PSSE and DigSilent and related libraries/modules, Neplan and Etap or equivalent)

· Excellent computer programming skills, including proficiency in C, FORTRAN, Python and MATLAB

· At least 15 years of successful experience in power engineering and/or consulting. Proven leadership performance experience

· Languages: English, Italian. Knowledge of other foreign languages will be considered a plus, in particular Spanish, French or Arabic

Skills and Competences

· Optimization of internal and external resources

· Project coordination and programming

· Flexibility in leading counseling in widely varying counties

· Ability to interact with the customer
