What you will do

As a Senior HDVC Consultant at KEMA Labs, your main responsibilities will include:

· Contribute to selecting optimal parameters for HVDC equipment through network and performance studies.

· Define station layout, electro-mechanical arrangement, main equipment selection, filter banks, and control & protection systems.

· Oversee factory and site acceptance tests, ensuring product quality.


As a Senior HDVC Consultant, you coordinate activities of junior engineers and ensure client satisfaction in line with technical and economic objectives. You work closely with our team that works on the main Power Equipment/Systems of HVDC Stations and DC grid developments in general and be the primary point of contact for our Power Transmission Engineering Division.

What you bring

Among all your other talents, your key knowledge and experience is:

· An Electrical Engineering degree, preferably with a major in Energy Engineering at BSc or MSc level.

· You have good communication skills in Dutch and English (both written and verbally). The knowledge of other foreign languages will be considered a plus, particularly German, or French.

· You shall have good knowledge of the fundamentals of the electrical power system and shall also be acquainted on the application of the most common software tools for network modeling (e.g., PSCAD, ATP, EMTP-RV, PSSE, DigSilent or equivalent).
